What Expect at your appointment

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR APPOINTMENT 

 

Welcome  back , your appointment with me is going to feel a little different than before, but I want to make this transition to the new normal as easy and as comfortable as possible. 

 

 

  • Government guidelines have required massage therapists to reduce hands-on treatment times to a minimum. Therefore maximum appointment time will be 60 minutes (this includes changing times at the beginning and end of the appointment)and this is reflected in the online booking system. The portion of your appointment that would have be set aside for assessment will now be conducted online using video conferencing software or by phone prior to treamtment appointment.

  • Treatments to the face area at this time in line with government guidelines are  permitted from 15th August 2020.

 

  • During the treatment I shall be wearing PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)  This will include :-

 

    • Face Mask 

    • Visor

    • Single Use apron

    • Single Use Non Latex gloves    

 

  • You are required to wear a face mask. You can either wear your own or one will be provided for you.

 

  • As before you will be provided with fresh linens that have been washed at 60c 

 

 

  • In line with Government guidelines all pre treatment assessments for new and existing clients will be done online in 30 minute slots ideally by video call (using FaceTime /Zoom) or by phone.

 

  • During the online/phone assessment session a COVID19 screening questionnaire be required. This will need to be completed  as I will be unable legally to see you without it. You will also be contacted 24hrs prior to your appointment to ensure that you or any family members are not experiencing any signs or symptoms of COVID19 

 

  • Due to Covid19 guidelines you are requested to attend your appointment alone. If you require a chaperone to attend or someone else for health reasons please advise me during your online assessment. Be aware that the additional person will also require COVID19 screening and their details will be held on record for 21 days for Government track and trace purposes.

 

  • As advised please do not attend your appointment directly from your workplace. Unless your workplace is at home. This is particularly important if you are a key worker. You should shower prior to your appointment (showering facilities will no longer be provided at the practise pre or post treatments). Consider wearing clothing that is easily removed, perhaps keeping jewellery to a minimum. Containers will be provided for both your clothing and your footwear.

 

  • Hand washing and sanitising will be required on entering the practise. 

 

  • Your Temperature will be taken on attending with a non contact thermometer and will be recorded in your notes. If you have a temperature equal to 37.8C or greater you will be asked to return home and follow the government guidelines regarding self isolation. You will not be charged.

 

  • Please do not attend your appointment if you feel unwell even if that is with non COVID-19 symptoms, again you will not be charged.  It is important to note that you will be unable to book another appointment with me for 14 days. However this does not prevent us from communicating either online or by phone should you need advisement on some self care at home. 

 

 

  • In line with strict cleaning requirements in between clients, I am unable to overrun your appointment , therefore I would ask that you arrive on time and leave promptly in order that i  can prepare for the next client. 

 

 

     Things to bring with you as advised 

 

  • A pen to sign your consent to treatment forms and Covid19 screening questionnaire

 

  • Your own bottled water as this will no longer be provided at the practice.

 

Government guidelines encourage contactless card payments. All major debit and credit cards are accepted. If you would prefer you can also pay by mobile pay 

 

I understand that this may not be possible for everyone. If you are unable to pay using online payments or credit/debit card payments in person - cash will be taken. This must be in the exact amount and placed in an envelope that will be provided.

 

Please note that these procedures may change as the Government guidelines change
